Lockdown Blues

I can feel the depression setting in

I feel the dark days closing in

I’ve got the Lockdown Blues

Don’t know if it’s the same for you

My mama phoned me just the other day

I told her my guitar I couldn’t play

My girlfriend has run off with my dog

I just can’t see through my fog

I don’t know if I’m going crazy

What day it is seems a little hazy

I don’t bother to answer the phone

I’d rather sit here all alone

I’ve got the Lockdown Blues

Don’t know if it’s the same for you

I’ve run out of powder to wash my clothes

What I smell like nobody knows

The dishes are piled up in the sink

The left over food sure does stink

Will this torture ever end

I still miss seeing my friends

I keep on smelling steak and chips

Before I realise I smack my lips

I’ve got the Lockdown Blues

Don’t know if it’s the same for you

I’ve stopped bothering to get dressed

This house is surely in a mess

This is what happens with the Lockdown Blues

I hope you haven’t got it too.

Spread the love
